In view of the new standards that are being applied to quotations for non-contestable work, it is important that at all stages of the process you provide us with all the information necessary for us to be able to progess the work. If in doubt, contact us.
POC Application Customer Guide
The following criteria, information and documentation must be provided on application. Failure to comply may result in us being unable to accept and process your application.
We highly recommend you complete our ‘Application request for an Electrical Point of Connection’ form, as all mandatory fields are clearly highlighted with an *.
- Full site address including postal code. (If not known for site then please provide nearest postcode to site).
- Site location plan (and layout if known), this must clearly show proposed site entrance.
- Type of connection i.e. Domestic, Commercial or Industrial.
- If domestic properties what type i.e. houses, flats etc.
- Total number of connections/plots.
- Confirmation of who will be adopting the network.
- Applicant correspondence details.
- Site start date.
- 1st Assumed connection date.
- Assumed completion date.
- Type of heating i.e. electric or gas.
- Total no of storage/immersion heaters.
- ADMD per dwelling.
- Total Load.
- Number of phases, single or three phase.
- Preferred connection voltage.
- Security of supply i.e. firm/un-firm.
- Motors & Welders details including full breakdown, i.e. type of motor, starting current, rating and how often it will start.
- Details of Equipment that will generate harmonic voltage distortion (if applicable).
- Details of any generating equipment (if applicable).
If any of the above are not provided or missed, please note that this may result in us being unable to accept and process your application.
Please also notethat, if there is a substation on site that you require moving, you must confirm this in writing and submit a new substation position with this request. Please also confirm whether you require non-contestable or contestable costs.
We will not be able to progress your application if this information is not provided.

Non-contestable Project Release to Delivery
Please ensure you complete and provided ALL of the following information. Failure to do so will result in your acceptance being rejected.
• Fully Completed and Signed Acceptance Form.
• Fully Completed and Signed Adoption Agreements.
• Fully Completed and Signed Connections Agreements.
• Fully Completed Work Programme (see appendix 5 of adoption agreement).
• 5 x Copies of Plans including any amendments.
