Services
Our Services section provides a connections service in the YEDL and NEDL area, undertaking a variety of work. Annually we provide over 37,000 connections and cover a geographical area south of the Scottish Borders down the Pennines to North East Derbyshire just south of Sheffield and across to the east coast.
Our main function is the installation of new services and transferring or altering of existing connections as well as disconnections for:-
- Street lighting
- Other unmetered connections like advertising hoardings, bus shelters and phone kiosks
- Small industrial and commercial supplies
- Domestic connections and infrastructure from single plots to major housing developments
These activities are carried out by highly skilled and motivated staff, where standards and processes are closely monitored and the work routinely audited to ensure safety and service standards comply with HSE (Health and Safety Executive) and OFGEM (The Office of Gas and Electricity Markets) codes of practices.
