Customer and Stakeholder Consultation

Have your say

Running an electricity network has never been more challenging. Severe weather events are happening more often. The pattern of electricity generation is changing to smaller, greener units connected locally to the network. Customers expect a secure electricity supply and we need to ensure our vulnerable customers, in particular, have their needs met. And concerns about rises in energy prices mean that, although the cost of moving electricity from power station to your home is only a small proportion of your electricity bill, we owe it to customers to keep it as low as possible.

During 2009, we are negotiating with our regulator, Ofgem, on our investment plan and level of charges for 2010 to 2015. To help us decide on our priorities, we have been consulting a wide range of interested parties, in addition to those we have regular contact with, about our proposals.  Our consultation document (electronic version available below) tells you about our activities and current priorities, and poses a range of questions about our options for the future. Some of these options may only be possible if charges rise.

We have completed our formal consultation.  Click here for a description of the process and information about what we found.   However,  we are always keen to hear from our customers and other stakeholders about issues that concern them.  You may contact us by web form by clicking here.
